Mascate – Wahiba –Wadi Bani Khalid



7 a.m.
Departure for the interior of the country in the direction of the Wahiba Sands desert, named after the tribe which still lives there today.

10 a.m.
Arrive in Wahiba. Discover the grandiose landscapes of one of the most beautiful sand deserts in the world… a variation of large golden-red sand dunes and flat rocks.

Dune bashing (30 minutes) included, with camel ride (30 minutes) optional.

Stop for lunch and traditional coffee with dates in a Bedouin family.

Return to Muscat at the end of the day.

Lunch at the restaurant in Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful oases, with its turquoise waters winding through the white rocks.

Deeply ensconced in the mountains, you need walk only a few steps to find yourself in a true chaos of rocks and walls where the clear water runs…. A grotto is accessible with about 45 minutes of walking.
Swimming possible (come with your towel; women, come with a t-shirt).

Return to Muscat at the end of the day (around 7 p.m.).
