Day 1: Paris – Muscat

Day 2: Muscat
Departure from the hotel to visit Muscat. The smallest capital in the world appears as an oasis in the desert.
You head to the Grand Mosque, a jewel of remarkable Omani architecture with its largest hand-woven carpet in the world and its Swarkovski crystal chandelier more than 14m long.
Then passing by the Royal Opera House Muscat opened in 2011 we go to lunch at the Turkish House restaurant renowned for its oriental delicacies.
Continue to the Qurum district where we see the only public beach in Muscat.
We then pass through the embassy district before reaching the port, the Muttrah corniche and the souk with its many bazaars that make it a attraction.
Free time in the souk then back to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Muscat – Nakhal – Wadi Bani Awf – Nizwa
Departure from the hotel to the mountains of Jebel Hajar.
After passing through some villages, you discover Nakhal in the heart of the mountains. This town is famous for its palm date plantations from which it also takes its name.
The fort, located on a hill, is 3400m2 in area and was used for housing the Governor (Wali). The foundations built on a rock at the foot of the Western Hajar go back to the pre-Islamic age. It was subceqently rehabilitated to the 9th, 16th and 19th century. It has recently been renovated by Sultan Qaboos.
You then leave the paved road to climb the mountains.
Oman is the only country in the world whose surface is largely composed of rocks from the sea floor and where the colors of the mountains are incredible.
Your picnic lunch will be taken in the middle of this grand spectacle.
Stop in the village of Bilat Sayt a small farming village, lost at 950m above sea level in the mountains.
You will also see the falaj irrigation. These are water supply networks, usually used for terrace cultures.
Arrival in the city of Nizwa, the former capital of the country at the crossroads of ancient caravans.

Day 4: Jabal Al Akhdar – Nizwa – Wahiba
Departure by four-wheel drive vehicle to Nizwa, the second capital of the Sultanate during two centuries.
Walk in the souk and visit of the largest fortress in the Arabian Peninsula.
Built in the late 17th century, it features an impressive high tower of 24 meters.
Lunch at the Falaj Daris Hotel.
Continue to the Wahiba Sands. The Desert area of Wahabique spans 180 km from north to south and 80 km from east to west, an area of about 12,500 km2.
Along the way you will stop to take the traditional Kawa (coffee) with a Bedouin family followed by a short session of Dune Bashing.
Arrival at the heart of the desert for the sunset at the top of the dunes.
Check in at the Desert Night Camp, the most luxurious of Oman, standing in the desert.

Day 5: Wahiba – Sur – Muscat
Check out after breakfast towards Sur. City built on the surface of ocean, the old town of Sur appears not to have changed for centuries.
It is for this reason one of the most picturesque cities of the Sultanate.
But also owes its reputation on its shipyard you take the time to visit.
They still make dhows, traditional Arabian boats.

Continue to Muscat via the coast.
Stop at Wadi Shab for a walk in the heart of the canyon clear waters, which hosts the natural pools, possibility of swimming.

Day 6: Muscat
Departure to the Marina to go take speedboats looking dolphins spinners, many near the coast of Muscat. Refreshments included onboard.
Back to Marina around noon
